I made five hires this year. Four of them were amazing, and the fifth cost me $8,610.29.

Welcome to my Annual Review. Each year I review my calendar, task list, Evernote, and camera roll. I look for the biggest wins and learnings of the past year. Then I set intentions for the coming one. The whole process takes 10+ hours.

Each year, I flaunt my successes and attempt to make my failures more attractive. Then I set intentions for the coming year. It's a weird thing I do to feel significant instead of feeling like a tiny peanut floating in space. And you know what? It actually helps.

I know 2020 was pretty uneventful and so there hasn’t been a lot to worry about. You’ve been wondering, “How is Greg Faxon's year going? Is he doing okay?” So purely as a favor to you, because I know there’s no other big social issues to grapple with, I thought I’d write about my year in exhaustive detail.

Most people don't live 10 years...They just live the same year ten times over. Ouch. One of things you can do to prevent this is to review your year.

It’s that time of year again…

Each year I conduct an annual review. This process allows me to look back at the past year, answer a few key questions, and then set my intentions for the year ahead. And it's a process that I always look forward to.

Have you taken the time to review 2016 yet? If not, I would highly recommend it. An annual review is a process by which you look back at the previous year as a whole and then apply the lessons you learned to your strategy for the new year. I've conducted an annual review every year since the start of my business and it's made a big difference for me.

Last year I conducted my first annual review. It really helped me take stock of the previous year and apply those lessons to my goals for the new year. I’m amazed at how effective this process was in enabling me to live more deliberately. So I'm doing it again this year.
